THERAPY RECOMMENDATION

Positive effects:

  • L-carnitine is an endogenous β-hydroxy-γ-trimethyl-aminobutyric acid. L-carnitine is produced by the body itself from the essential amino acids L-lysine and L-methionine; co-factors required for endogenous synthesis are vitamins C, B3, B6, and iron.
  • L-carnitine-dependent metabolism is, alongside glycolysis, the oldest in evolution. L-carnitine plays a key role in energy metabolism: L-carnitine transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria, improves mitochondrial function, and converts fat into energy. L-carnitine regulates the citric acid cycle and activates glucose utilization.
  • L-carnitine optimizes the energy metabolism of muscles, contributes to muscle mass development, and has an anabolic effect.
  • L-carnitine has a cell membrane-stabilizing effect (erythrocytes, immune cells, cell organelles, mitochondria).
  • Can have an inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation.
  • Improves insulin sensitivity and glucose utilization.
  • L-carnitine is a peripheral antagonist of thyroid hormone action. It does not alter TSH.
  • L-carnitine inhibits NF-kB and has anti-inflammatory effects.
  • It has neuroprotective and neuroregenerative effects.
  • Increases neurotransmitter metabolism, acetylcholine.
  • L-carnitine has a positive influence on hematopoiesis.
  • It can enhance immune competence.
  • It can improve blood circulation by activating eNOS.
  • Support for weight loss, increased fat burning.
  • Liver cell protection, detoxifying xenobiotics, improved liver detoxification.

Therapy recommendations: There are indications that the properties of the substances contained in the product may have a positive effect on health disorders of the mentioned indications:

  • general prevention
  • for chronic fatigue, exhaustion, reduced performance, and CFS
  • for brain fog and confirmed hyperammonemia
  • adjunct in tumor therapy; cytoprotection, immunostabilizing effect, prevention of neuropathies and CFS; prevention of L-carnitine deficiency also in combination with cannabinoids
  • for acute and chronic infections
  • for neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease
  • for AD(H)D syndrome accompanied by N-acetyl-L-tyrosine
  • L-carnitine deficiency is often present in cardiovascular diseases; L-carnitine is an energy source for the heart muscle
  • for myositis, inflammation of skeletal muscles
  • adjunct in type 2 diabetes mellitus and insulin resistance
  • for hyperthyroidism
  • for circulatory disorders
  • for increased demand, e.g., in athletes
  • adjunct in weight loss, weight management
  • supports the detoxification of fats

Contraindications:Do not use in children under 6 years of age. In case of impaired kidney, liver, or heart function and albumin deficiency, an adjustment of the individual dose is recommended. Patients taking beta-blockers have an increased risk of a decompensated cardiovascular reaction, as beta-blockers inhibit the effect of adrenaline (emergency medical treatment). Patients with a tendency to allergic reactions and/or with diseases based on histamine release (e.g., asthma) should be questioned about known allergens according to the principles of therapeutic due diligence.

Note for doctors and therapists: In principle, the doctor/therapist determines the indication for individual prescriptions. The suggestion is merely a recommendation for a therapy option, whereby the dosage and frequency of application are solely at the discretion of the doctor/therapist. The treating therapist is responsible for the treatment and must individually review and assess the respective application for each patient before starting treatment.

We have researched the literature with the greatest possible care. Nevertheless, we assume no liability for the completeness and topicality of the study information. Many of the therapeutic options mentioned in the product information are based on findings obtained from animal or human cell cultures, animal experiments, observational studies, and, to a lesser extent, randomized controlled trials (RCTs). The body of research on complementary medicines is subject to continuous development, which can sometimes lead to different results. We therefore recommend that therapists always carefully review the current research before using such preparations.
