THERAPY RECOMMENDATION

Positive Effects:

  • L-Ornithine is an amino acid not found in dietary protein. It is only formed in urea metabolism. The most important function of L-Ornithine is the breakdown of ammonia.

Therapy Recommendations:There is evidence that the properties of the substances contained in the product may have a positive effect on health disorders of the mentioned indications:

  • Neurodegeneration, hepatic encephalopathy, and mitochondriopathy:
Ammonia degradation in the urea cycle is promoted
  • in dysbiosis and elevated ammonia levels together with glutamine
  • Sports: anabolic effect, increased secretion of STH, and increased fat breakdown (lipolysis)
  • Support of the synthesis of polyamides (spermine, spermidine, stabilizing effect on sperm DNA structure)

Contraindications:Do not use in children under 6 years of age. In case of impaired kidney, liver, or heart function, and in case of albumin deficiency, an adjustment of the individual dose is recommended. Patients taking beta-blockers have an increased risk of a decompensated cardiovascular reaction, as beta-blockers inhibit the effect of adrenaline (emergency medical treatment). Patients with a tendency to allergic reactions and/or with diseases based on histamine release (e.g., asthma) should be questioned about known allergens according to the principles of therapeutic due diligence.

Note for Doctors and Therapists:Basically, for individual prescriptions, the doctor/therapist determines the indication. The suggestion is merely a recommendation for a therapy option, whereby the dosage and frequency of application are solely at the discretion of the doctor/therapist. The treating therapist is responsible for the treatment and must individually review and assess the respective application for each patient before starting treatment.

We have researched the literature with the greatest possible care. Nevertheless, we assume no liability for the completeness and topicality of the study information. Many of the therapy options mentioned in the product information are based on findings obtained from animal or human cell cultures, animal experiments, observational studies, and to a lesser extent, randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
The study situation for complementary medicines is subject to continuous development, which can sometimes lead to different results. We therefore recommend that therapists always carefully review the current study situation before using such preparations.
