THERAPY RECOMMENDATION

NAD+ and Cellular Metabolism

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, or NAD+ for short, is an endogenous coenzyme involved in numerous cellular metabolic processes. NAD+ plays a key role, among others, in mitochondrial energy production as well as in cellular function and repair processes.

NAD+ levels in the body may decrease with age. Accordingly, NAD+ is increasingly being focused on, particularly in connection with mitochondrial processes, energy balance, cell regeneration, and cognitive functions.

Possible areas of application within individual treatment concepts may include:

  • Exhaustion and chronic fatigue
  • Regeneration and convalescence
  • Support for mitochondrial dysfunctions
  • Concentration and memory problems
  • Brain fog
  • Regeneration after physical exertion
  • Complementary concepts in the field of healthy aging and cellular health

The individual determination of indications, as well as the dosage and frequency of administration, is the responsibility of the treating physician or therapist.

Contraindications and special precautions:
Do not use as part of cancer therapy. In cases of impaired kidney, liver, or heart function, as well as in cases of albumin deficiency, an individual dose adjustment should be considered. Please refer to the product information for further contraindications, possible side effects, and directions for use.

Information for physicians and therapists:
For individual prescriptions, the treating physician or therapist determines the indication individually. The stated areas of application serve exclusively as guidance for possible treatment options. The suitability of the application must be assessed individually for each patient before starting treatment.

The bibliographic information was researched by us with the utmost care. Nevertheless, we assume no liability for the completeness and timeliness of the study information. Many of the treatment options mentioned in the product information are based on findings obtained from animal or human cell cultures, animal studies, observational studies, and to a lesser extent, randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
The evidence base for complementary medicines is continuously evolving, which can partly lead to different results. We therefore recommend that practitioners always carefully review the current evidence before using such preparations.
