THERAPY RECOMMENDATION

Positive Effects:

  • Taurine is a sulfur-containing, amino acid-like compound. Taurine is formed in the liver from L-cysteine and L-thiamine. Taurine, alongside glutamine, is the most highly concentrated amino acid in the human body and is found primarily in active tissues such as the CNS, retina, muscles, heart, lymphocytes, and platelets. With increasing age, the taurine content in the body decreases.
  • Taurine slows down important markers of aging such as increased DNA damage, telomerase deficiency, impaired mitochondrial function, and cellular senescence.
  • Chemotherapy-induced nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and changes in taste and smell can be mitigated.
  • Taurine has a positive inotropic effect, 2-4 g per day.
  • Taurine increases mitochondrial ATP production.
  • Taurine inhibits the renin-angiotensin system.
  • Taurine is not used for muscle building, but rather stabilizes fluid balance in cells, acts as a cell protector and antioxidant.
  • Taurine is an intracellular calcium scavenger, reduces pro-inflammatory cytokine release via NF-kB, and consequently iNOS.
  • Taurine lowers VLDL and LDL cholesterol in plasma and the liver.
  • Taurine helps prevent calcium precipitation in the bile by supporting the formation of taurine-based bile acids.
  • Taurine protects against macro- and microvascular diabetic complications.
  • In high doses, taurine acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter by activating GABA receptors, lowers elevated adrenaline levels, competitively binds to the glutamate receptor (NMDR), and thus has a calming effect.
  • Taurine is found in energy drinks because it enhances the stimulating effect of sugar and caffeine.
  • Taurine reduces TNF alpha and IL6, NF-kB, and activates NRF2.
  • Taurine has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, mitotropic, antinitrosative, anxiolytic, and relaxing effects.
  • Tip:Taurine and Q10 have a synergistic effect. A combination of taurine and Q10 is recommended. Let them run one after another.

Therapy recommendations: There is evidence that the properties of the substances contained in the product can have a positive effect on health disorders of the mentioned indications:

  • as part of complementary cancer therapy
  • for arteriosclerosis
  • for elevated cholesterol levels
  • for circulatory disorders, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiovascular diseases
  • for diabetes mellitus type 2 and insulin resistance, obesity
  • for macular degeneration: improvement of vision
  • for polyneuropathy n for neuropathy
  • for neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease
  • for acute and chronic infections: inhibition of immune cell apoptosis
  • for silent inflammation
  • for mitochondriopathies
  • for nitrostress
  • Taurine slows down important markers of aging
  • for stress and anxiety
  • in sports: performance enhancement
  • nutrient for liver detoxification phase II

Contraindications:Do not use in children under 6 years of age. For impaired kidney, liver, or heart function and albumin deficiency, an adjustment of the individual dose is recommended. Patients taking beta-blockers have an increased risk of a decompensated cardiovascular reaction, as beta-blockers inhibit the effect of adrenaline (emergency medical treatment). Patients with a tendency to allergic reactions and/or diseases based on histamine release (e.g., asthma) should be questioned about allergens known to them in accordance with the principles of therapeutic duty of care.

Note for doctors and therapists: In principle, for individual prescriptions, the doctor/therapist determines the indication. The suggestion is merely a recommendation for a therapy option, with the dosage and frequency of application being solely at the discretion of the doctor/therapist. The treating therapist is responsible for the treatment and must individually review and evaluate the respective application for each patient before starting treatment.

We have researched the literature with the greatest possible care. Nevertheless, we assume no liability for the completeness and topicality of the study information. Many of the therapy options mentioned in the product information are based on findings obtained from animal or human cell cultures, animal experiments, observational studies, and, to a lesser extent, randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
The study situation for complementary medicines is subject to continuous development, which can sometimes lead to different results. We therefore recommend that therapists always carefully review the current study situation before using such preparations.
