Usage information: For the first NAD+ infusion, the lowest concentration should be used. The infusion rate should be set slowly at the beginning and can be adjusted accordingly if well tolerated.

THERAPY RECOMMENDATION

NAD+ and Cellular Metabolism

Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, or NAD+ for short, is an endogenous coenzyme involved in numerous cellular metabolic processes. NAD+ plays a key role, among others, in mitochondrial energy production as well as in cellular function and repair processes.

NAD+ levels in the body may decrease with age. Accordingly, NAD+ is increasingly attracting attention, particularly in connection with mitochondrial processes, energy balance, cell regeneration, and cognitive functions.

Possible areas of use as part of individual treatment concepts may include:

  • Exhaustion and chronic fatigue
  • Regeneration and convalescence
  • Support for mitochondrial dysfunction
  • Concentration and memory problems
  • Brain fog
  • Recovery after physical exertion
  • Supporting concepts in the areas of healthy aging and cellular health

Determining the individual indication, as well as the dosage and frequency of use, is the responsibility of the treating physician or therapist.

Contraindications and special precautions:
Do not use as part of cancer treatment. In cases of impaired kidney, liver, or heart function, as well as albumin deficiency, an individual dosage adjustment should be considered. Please refer to the product information for further contraindications, possible side effects, and directions for use.

Information for physicians and therapists:
For individual formulations, the treating physician or therapist determines the indication individually. The listed areas of use are intended solely as guidance for possible treatment options. The suitability of use must be assessed individually for each patient before starting treatment.

The bibliographic references were researched by us with the utmost care. Nevertheless, we assume no liability for the completeness and timeliness of the study information. Many of the treatment options mentioned in the product information are based on findings obtained from animal or human cell cultures, animal studies, observational studies, and to a lesser extent, randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
The body of research on complementary medicines is continuously evolving, which can partly lead to different results. We therefore recommend that therapists always carefully review the current body of research before using such preparations.
